Consortium Brand Partners has added another brand to its portfolio.

The consumer investment firm has acquired Jonathan Adler, a home décor, furniture and lifestyle brand known for its bold, modern aesthetic, and creative design sensibility.  Consortium, through a strategic partnership with American Exchange Group, closed the transaction on December 23, 2024.

As part of the deal, Jonathan Adler will continue in his role as founder and chief ceative officer of the company, which will continue to operate its retail stores across the U.S. and the U.K. through the partnership with American Exchange Group, and expand its brick-and-mortar presence and further grow its offerings and categories for current and future international wholesale accounts.

“Partnering with CBP on this acquisition allows us to combine our expertise in manufacturing and distribution with their strength in strategic investments and brand-building,” said Alen Mamrout, president and CEO of American Exchange Group. “Together, we are committed to elevating the Jonathan Adler® brand to even greater heights, expanding its global reach and product offerings.”

The acquisition of Jonathan Adler is Consortium’s third acquisition in 18 months. The company acquired the majority stake in Draper James, the lifestyle brand founded by actress and entrepreneur Reese Witherspoon, in September 2023.  In June 2024, it acquired the assets of athleisure and activewear brand Outdoor Voices.
